BALLPARK CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The Edmonton Prospects Baseball Club would like to thank our fans and supporters for their on-going support and encouragement as we continue working on Canada’s next great ballpark. As part of that process, we feel compelled to provide updates on progress with respect to ballpark construction at Highway 16A and Pioneer Road in Spruce Grove. Horizontal construction has commenced with ground service work at the ballpark site, Ballpark District and adjacent commercial property well underway.   Due to where we are in the construction process along with the economic, supply and labour effects that were caused by the recent worldwide pandemic, our investor group has reviewed current status and feels it is necessary to make adjustments that reflect current business realities as they relate to construction of the ballpark.  As a result, we will be unable to open our new ballpark in time for the 2023 season as originally hoped and have now reset our new targeted opening date for May of 2024. The Edmonton Prospects remain committed to providing affordable family entertainment to the citizens of Metro Edmonton as members of the WCBL and we remain committed to growing the game of baseball in the Edmonton area. We look forward to continuing our long tradition in this community with a new ballpark in 2024. We encourage your feedback and conversation in regard to the new ballpark project. The ballpark will be worth the wait as we pivot to a more realistic 2024 opening.
